It is a landmark week for the global pop landscape as BTS officially secure their highest-ever position on the UK Official Singles Chart. The South Korean septet—RM, SUGA, j-hope, Jin, Jung Kook, V, and Jimin—have surged to Number 2 with their latest hit, "SWIM," marking a historic personal best for the group.

By reaching the runner-up spot, "SWIM" surpasses the massive commercial peaks of 2020’s "Dynamite" and 2021’s "Butter," both of which previously stalled at Number 3. This achievement marks the band's fifth UK Top 10 hit and caps off an extraordinary seven days for the group, who also celebrated their third Number 1 album with the critically acclaimed ARIRANG.

The "Bangtan" takeover doesn't end there. Two further tracks from the new album have successfully pierced the Top 40 standings this week: the infectious "Body to Body" lands at Number 28, while the high-energy "FYA" rounds out the list at Number 39.

Chart Veterans and Rising Viral Hits

While BTS dominate the headlines, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean continue their iron grip on the summit. Their collaboration, "Rein Me In," holds steady at Number 1 for a fifth non-consecutive week, showing no signs of slowing down despite the fierce competition.

Further down the tally, Dominic Fike is enjoying a significant momentum boost. His track "Babydoll" has hopped two places to Number 11, sitting just outside the elite Top 10. If the track continues its upward trajectory, it will become the American singer-songwriter's second Top 10 landmark, joining 2018’s "3 Nights." Fike is also seeing success with "White Keys," which climbed to a new peak of Number 17.

Meanwhile, Tame Impala’s viral sensation "Dracula" continues its steady ascent, scaling two more places to settle at a new peak of Number 12.

Cinematic Collaborations and Country Gains

The week also welcomes a prestigious new entry in the form of "Click Clack Symphony," a high-concept team-up between RAYE and legendary composer Hans Zimmer. The track debuts at Number 18, bagging Zimmer his first-ever Top 20 accolade and marking the 12th for RAYE. Finally, the country-pop crossover "Choosin’ Texas" by Ella Langley continues to find its footing, rising one place to Number 32.
